Well the first game we lost by one goal... AGAIN!.. however we were unlucky as we missed a penalty with a couple of minutes to go. The first half was definately in Vinters favour with the exception of a belting volley from Jamie that rattled the crossbar..basically they PASSED whereas we KICKED. HOWEVER, after a bit of 'GUIDING LIGHT' by Steve & Matt at half time they began to battle harder in the second half, but we just couldn't get the equaliser. The second game however was a different kettle of fish, the team was shuffled with Robbie going in goal, and although the first half was as tight a battle as the second half of the first game, (you still with this?), we had more width and began to play more in their half. With the team now passing and the Vinters defenders now having to actually mark our players, It gave Ryan room to score two lovely goals and we had more opportunities that were missed.


First save coming Up..Tom did very well to track all the way back to put the guy off as did Chris to block this one.	Couldn't keep this one out.. Chris taking it personally.. A keeper is always alone when the opposition scores.

Now this is about 3 seconds after Robbie has just blocked a shot. Does he seem rather too calm ? However, some excellent saves though, and kept a clean sheet.	"You may NOT have the ball !". With his usual finesse, Chris declines the oppositions' request for a touch of the ball.

Ryan beats 2 players and the keeper for his First Goal, AND we actually have players in and around the area in case of rebounds.	Incomming !!!! Vinters Under pressure .. and more support out of picture.

Again in the first half of the first game we kicked and they passed...however we were unlucky not to go in front when Chris & David got in each others way in front of an open goal..ho hum. The second half was more even however, but a Swale shot took a wicked deflection leaving Robbie no chance with the first goal. Their second came as we pushed forward to get an equaliser. They drew our defense to the wing before crossing to what were now unmarked players who competently headed passed Robbie. 2-0

The second game was closer but despite some good saves by Robbie, Swale scored 2 good first half goals when the defence failed to close the Swale attack down quickly enough. The second half we more than matched them and a slick passing move between Tom Pounds & Chris ended with Tom slotting home our only goal of the day. The last few minutes saw us actually push Swale back and saw some desparate defending from them. 2 -1 Strangely, although 2 losses, some good spells of football, applying some sensible football against a good side. <Martin Cronk took his camera so I may be sent some of his for the website.>

Very Even games... two draws, (1,1 & 1,1).. First game we had to come from behind, the second game they did. When we kicked the ball and played narrow they were the better side... when we passed the ball and played wide we were the better side. Two games of attack & counter attack. We had more corners .. they had more throw-ins, although we did hit their cross bar a couple of times..but the game is improving each week. 2 more points then.

Full bloodied stuff. Yep! It was a whacking crunch...but Tom got the cross in and neither were hurt.	David Ryans most Excellent Volley...Alas just over.
