 Snodland Nomads 6/9/03 (Friendly) played in Red Kit
 The first friendly of the season. Comprising 3 X 20 minute halves (thirds ?), we experimented with players in differing positions... with varying degrees of success. The 1st half started well with some good chances but the half ended up a goaless draw mainly due to us not converting some good chances. The 2nd half we changed personel and positions.. we lost this half 3-0 with all 3 goals coming in a 4 minute spell when we lost our shape and confidence... the 3rd half saw some better organisation but again we missed several good chances up front before letting in the inevitable goal..lost 1-0.  The first time we had as many players all together so it was to be expected. Discipline is A missing part of the recipe currently. (Thanks to Mike Penny for the pictures)

The best save of the game came from a Larkfield corner.. A 'Nomad' defender heads the ball into his keepers FACE with such force that the rebound clears the bar.. (Note all our forwards got behind their defence)


 Vinters Green 4/9/03 (Friendly) played in Red Kit
Well.. A right royal pasting was given to us.  Apart from a couple of players some pretty poor performances. We lost 7-1. Very little to say except the only way is up from here.(Again..Thanks to Mike Penny for the pictures)

 Park Regis 21/9/03 (League) Yellow Kit (AWAY)
Our first league game of the season..and didn't it show....We had to play on the full adult pitch..but so did Park Regis and to be honest they were much fitter than our boys.. We didn't keep our shape and in the main kicked instead of passed the ball, poor points were lack of discipline and shape..good points were they didn't give up and actually got better in the last half of the second half. The bare eleven and so when two injuries forced a change of keeper and a short spell with ten men.. hey ho!... However no excuses.. the manager couldn't get the team to hold their shape and they tired well before the opposition as they were always chasing the ball.  (9-0)
